RESTAURANTE
CESARIA>> Featured in Boston Globe
We started
our trip through the menu with a Sagres beer from Portugal - a nice, medium
brew. The appetizers, like the entire menu, include something for those
without a sense of adventure - the usual suspects of buffalo wings, chicken
tenders, and shrimp cocktail.
We skipped
over those and tried polvo grelhado (grilled squid, $5.50). The plate
came with several pieces of squid, not the usual deep fried, but sauteed
with lemon and butter; large green olives gave it bite.
We especially
liked the cartunis (quail, $4.50), succulent in a sherry sauce. Slightly
less successful were the mandioca frita (fried yuca, $4), not quite crispy
enough for our taste, though the flavor is more appealing than its cousin,
the french fry.
